Studio Theatre | Marketing & Communications Fellow

After graduation, I relocated to Washington, DC to begin my career in theatrical marketing at Studio Theatre. I became a part of their inaugural Fellows in Residence class, and have been working as the Marketing and Communications Fellow for the entirety of the 2024-2025 theatrical season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Correspond with local DC press publications to schedule writers for Press Performances 

  • Provide timely copy and assets for Studio Theatre's social media accounts while following the institutional style guide

  • Build and write institutional emails to be sent to 50,000+ addresses 

Program Highlights

Theatre Washington 2024 Theatre week kickoff

- Conceptualised and executed the promo code lottery activity to 'activate' the Studio booth and make it interactive for event-goers

- Designed gumball machine graphic and collaborated with graphic designer to develop promotional collateral to hand out at event 

​

Student Publication Outreach

- Due to thematic relevance, I reached out to local student publications to review the show, Exception to the Rule.

​

- Corresponded, invited and booked student publications to see the press preview of the show

​

- The Hilltop and The Advocate both published pieces on the production

​

Institutional Mural Keys

- Organized mural information from literary director into comprehensive mural key designs

​

- Collaborated inter-departmentally to execute final product of keys, which are now accessible by QR code on plaques mounted beside the murals 

​
